SALESMAN SAMPLE SEEDING MACHINE. Wood and brass construction likely intended to be horse drawn. Innovative two man operation where rear man takes seeds from wooden hopper and places them in pierced disc that rotates via a gear mechanism. As machine rolls along, front plow blade trowels the soil, disc drops seeds into tube and angled rear blades cover with soil. SIZE: 12-1/4″ l x 6-1/2″ w x 5-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of the late John Woods, St. Louis, MO. CONDITION: Very good to excellent.
