WESSON & LEAVITT PISTOL. Cal. .32. SN 166 on frame, 584 on cylinder pin and 6 on topstrap. 4″ rnd bbl. Marked “WESSON’S & LEAVITT’S PATENT” on the lockplate, “MASS. ARMS CO. / CHICOPEE FALLS” on the topstrap, “WESSON’S PATENT AUG.28.1849” on the rotating ring and “NOV. 26. 1850” on the bbl latch. CONDITION: 75% blue on the locking latch, traces on the bbl. 85% thinning blue on the triggerguard and backstrap. The cylinder has a dull blue surface mixed with light pitting. The frame and hammer have a gray/brown patina. The grips are dented and battered but retain about half of the varnish. Mechanically needs adjustment. 4-52195 FS355 (800-1,200)
