UNSIGNED (European, 18th/19th Century) ANGEL WITH CROSS AND PUTTI. Oil on canvas religious scene shows an angel holding onto a large cross surrounded by putti and two other angels. It appears to have been in an oval frame with dark squared corners. Presently housed in a modern gilt and ebonized wood frame. SIZE: 25″ x 38″. PROVENANCE: From a large Boston, MA area Estate. CONDITION: Very early relining, chipped edges, surface dirt, small tear in original canvas. Otherwise good. 9-99320 (800-1,200)
