*CONNECTICUT SHOTGUN COMPANY FOX DE GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN F205550. Very beautiful Fox with 28” bbls choked MOD/IMP-CYL with tapered, concave, matted rib, dbl ivory beads, crossbolt rib extension, ejectors & sgl selective trigger. Mounted with select quality Circassian walnut with black insert, semi-schnable tipped, carved & checkered, splinter forearm with carved & checkered, straight grip stock with checkered side panels, 15-3/8” over a skeleton, checkered buttplate. Receiver is beautifully engraved with the vignettes of a pointer on left side, two quail on right side & a setter on bottom with a quail on trigger bow, all surrounded by full coverage, floral, leaf & vine patterns with a fine stippled background. It has maker’s name in a ribbon on each side. Accompanied by a packet of orig papers from the factory with the orig hang tag. Also accompanied by its orig burgundy felt lined, tan leather trunk case, compartmented in bottom for the shotgun, a square nickeled oiler, a 2-pc brass & wood cleaning rod, a leather box of cleaning tools with spaces for snap caps & other equipment. Bore diameter: left – .614, right – .615. Bore restrictions: left – .011, right – .008. Wall thickness: left – .039, right – .041. Drop at heel: 1-7/8”, drop at comb: 1-3/8”. Weight: 6 lbs. .32 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine, near new, has been fired but very little. Overall retains virtually all of its orig factory finish to both metal & wood with strong bright blue on bbls & triggerguard and brilliant case colors on receiver & forend iron.
