*RARE WINCHESTER 94/22 EAGLE SCOUT COMMEMORATIVE WITH DISPLAY CASE. SN EAGLE 848. Cal. .22LR, 20″ round bbl, dovetail gold bead front sight, buckhorn adjustable rear sight. Left side of bbl is marked “WINCHESTER MODEL 9422 XTR – .22S-L-L.R. / MADE IN NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL”. Right side in gold “EAGLE SCOUT”. Receiver is engraved in Boy Scout motif with canoeing and hiking on left side, center oval of relief engraved scout holding hat over his chest and ribbon below that marked “DO A GOOD TURN DAILY”. Encircling this motif is written “A SCOUT IS TRUSTWORTHY – LOYAL – HELPFUL – FRIENDLY – COURTEOUS – KIND – OBEDIENT – CHEERFUL – THRIFTY – BRAVE – CLEAN – REVERENT”. Right side is a camp fire and a wood chopping scene with center oval with relief engraved of Boy Scout salute. Ribbon below marked “ON MY HONOR I WILL DO MY BEST”. Encircling this motif is written “KEEP MYSELF PHYSICALLY STRONG – MENTALLY AWAKE – MORALLY STRAIGHT – OBEY THE SCOUT LAW – DO MY DUTY TO GOD AND COUNTRY – HELP PEOPLE”. Mounted with nicely figured walnut, checkered straight grip with spade points. Right side has inlet round plaque with Eagle Scout badge marked “BE PREPARED” over top “1910 – 1985” and “EAGLE SCOUT” below. Curved metal buttplate, checkered forend with spade points. Accompanied with walnut display case with blue lining and acrylic paperweight showing Winchester horse and rider encircled by “WINCHESTER EAGLE SCOUT COMMEMORATIVE 1910.1985”. Accompanying gun is a ten-box brick of Winchester modern Boy Scout ammo. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as gun appears new. Bbl and mag tube retain all of their orig factory blue. The receiver, hammer, lever, buttplate and forend cap retain all of their factory gold plating. Stock is sound with sharp, crisp checkering, perhaps a tiny handling mark and retains all of its factory high-gloss finish. Forend is sound with sharp, crisp checkering, perhaps a tiny handling mark and retains all of its factory high-gloss finish. Mechanics are crisp with bright shiny bore, as gun appears to be factory test-fired only. Display case is in as-new condition.
