EARLY COLT 1ST CONTRACT DRAGOON REVOLVER AKA FLUCK MODEL. Cal. 44. SN 2254. Usual configuration with 7-1/2” oct to rnd bbl, German silver front sight with bbl address reading from cylinder to muzzle. It has small “P” proofs visible on all the original parts. It has the square back brass trigger guard and the trigger slot has a rounded front edge like the Walker. The “COLT’S PATENT” and “U.S.” markings are centered on the left side of the frame and the serial numbers are very tiny. It has brass grip frame and 1-pc walnut grips. CONDITION: Very good, all matching except the wedge and rammer which are unnumbered replacements. Retains most of an old reblue to bbl, cylinder and frame. Cylinder retains 30-40% faint Indian fight scene. Trigger guard and backstrap were cleaned a long time ago and now retain a fine, light to medium mustard patina. Grips are sound with chipped toes, a bruise on the right side with usual light handling and use marks and retains most of an old refinish. Bore is bright and shiny with scattered light pitting. 4-49484 JR949 (7,500-12,500)
