BEAUTIFUL SMALL DECORATED ART POTTERY HANDLED JUG. A miniature ovoid jug with applied handle having an exquisite cloudy blue background with painted jungle design and flying bluebird and featuring a small amount of mottled gold decoration. Underside of pot is artist signed “M. R.” and also an impressed mark “R 1884 60”. There are additional impressed marks also which can’t be made out. Very lovely piece of art pottery. SIZE: 5″ t x 4″ w at widest. CONDITION: A small separation line on inside, underside of handle which occurred in firing, this is not a crack, but simply a natural separation which took place in firing, otherwise very good to excellent. 5-68698 (450-650)
