*RARE CASED BROWNING MIDAS LIGHTNING GRADE SUPERPOSED SHOTGUN. Cal. 410. SN 2030J7. Beautiful over/under Browning with 26-3/8″ bbls, narrow hand matted rib with dbl ivory beads, ejectors & gold-plated sgl selective trigger. Receiver is typically Midas engraved with large vignettes of three raised gold flying pheasants on left side, three raised gold flying ducks on right side & a raised gold quail on bottom, all surrounded by very well executed leaf & vine foliate arabesque patterns with fine punch dot background. Trigger guard & forend iron are engraved to match with an elliptical shaped shield on trigger guard. Top tang has “S”, “O” & “U” in gold. Left vignette is engraver signed “MAGIS”. Mounted with extremely beautiful flame grain walnut with checkered rnd field style forearm & semi-pistol grip stock with short tang & raised side panels with carved spear point, 14″ over orig Browning black composition buttplate. Accompanied by orig gold & black hang tag. Also accompanied by a rnd corner, brown leatherette covered, turquoise felt relined Browning case. Drop at heel: 1-7/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/4″. Weight: 6 lbs. 13.76 oz. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine. As new, may have been fired but if so very little. Retains virtually all of its bright orig factory finish to both metal & wood with no discernible flaws. Checkering has no hand oil indicating virtually no handling.
