“MONKEY CHARIOT” BELL TOY. Manufactured by Kyser & Rex, this charming bell toy features a dressed monkey with cap riding in his green enameled chariot, which is dated “OCT 28, 1880”. As the toy is pulled along the floor, the monkey’s arms alternately swing, and the coconuts in his hands strike the bell. The chariot features a decaled rose on rear and gold pinstriping to wheels. SIZE: 6”. CONDITION: Toy is predominantly in fine original condition. Upon close examination a small amount of inpainting to yellow on monkey’s chest and arms. JL 1-4063 (2,000-2,500)
