FINE CONTINUOUS ARM BRACE BACK WINDSOR ARMCHAIR. Circa 1800, probably Connecticut origin. Eleven spindle back with two spindle brace supports. Front turned arm supports mimic turnings on legs. Finely carved saddle seat and carved arms. Natural finish. Ref. fig 122, pg. 113 “The Windsor Style in America” by Charles Santore. SIZE: 37 1/4″t, seat height 17″. CONDITION: One arm repaired, crack at the top of bracing spindle. 9-91927 (1,500-2,500)
