*WINCHESTER 52B SPORTER. SN 75763B. Cal. 22LR. 24″ tapered rnd bbl, integral stippled front ramp, gold bead sight and hood, no provision for rear sight. Left side of bbl is marked “MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S. OF AMERICA / WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL-WINCHESTER / TRADEMARK-MODEL 52-22L. RIFLE”. WP proof marks can be found on left side of bbl and adjacent receiver. Receiver is marked on right front ring “WINCHESTER / TRADEMARK”. Serial number can be found on left side. Receiver has not been drilled & tapped and is equipped with a Lyman F receiver sight. Trigger guard and floorplate are marked “SPORTING” and is equipped with a Winchester marked 5-shot magazine. Mounted with nicely figured walnut, checkered pistol grip with Winchester hard rubber grip cap, checkered steel buttplate, inlet swivel base 2-1/2″ from toe, left side cheekpiece, checkered forend with panels on each side, 3 diamonds across bottom, inlet swivel base and 90 degree ebony forend tip. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl and receiver retain 97-98% orig blue with a couple minor scratches and wear on sharp edges. Trigger guard floorplate retain most of their orig blue with some minor scratches. Stock is sound with professionally repointed checkering and retains an added coat of oil finish with some minor nicks & scratches.
