*FINE WINCHESTER MODEL 52B SPORTER BOLT ACTION RIFLE. SN 47909B. Cal. 22 LR. Fine deluxe sporting rifle with 23-1/2″ tapered rnd bbl, integral front sight ramp with hood, no provision for a rear sight and mounted with a Lyman Model 48F or 48FH receiver sight with target knobs. Mounted in nicely figured straight grain American walnut with triple diamond checkered forestock and diamond checkered side panels, ebony forend tip and checkered wrist with hard rubber grip cap & cheek piece with checkered steel buttplate. Mounted with deluxe swivel bases. Floorplate/trigger guard is marked “SPORTING”. Accompanied by one 5-rd magazine with patent date “1919”. These beautiful, well made sporting/target rifles were the epitome of quality in their time and remain today a true deluxe classic sporting rifle. CONDITION: Very fine. Overall retains about all of an exceptionally fine professionally restored finish to both metal & wood. Stock has two or three tiny scattered storage & handling nicks with no other apparent flaws.
