*KEN WARREN ENGRAVED WINCHESTER MODEL 70 CLASSIC. SN G38861. Cal. .375 H&H MAG, 24″ rnd bbl, matted front ramp with silver bead sight and hood, island mounted flip-up rear sight. Left side of bbl is marked “WINCHESTER MODEL 70 375 H & H MAG. / MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CT U.S.A.” Right side “CLASSIC SM”. Muzzle is engraved with bold foliate scroll about 1-1/2″ down each side of ramp and triangular vignette behind ramp. Island rear sight has foliate scroll front and back. Chamber area of bbl has opposing triangular-shaped area of foliate scroll mating up to matching scroll on receiver. Pre-64 style action with control rnd feed marked on left side “WINCHESTER / TRADEMARK”. Topped with Talley-style scope bases, front base minus 1 mounting screw. Receiver has been tastefully engraved by Ken Warren with bold foliate scrolls on each corner, back of tang, both sides of bolt shroud and shank of bolt. Floorplate and trigger guard also are engraved with foliate scroll and circle with a relief bull elk in woodland scene. Right side of triggerguard marked “K. W. Warren”. Mounted in uncheckered, nicely figured straight grain American walnut, straight comb, Boyds solid black 1/2″ recoil pad, cheekpiece, sling swivel studs with white spacer and sculpted metal grip cap polished and ready for custom engraving. Accompanying gun is orig Winchester cardboard box. CONDITION: Extremely Fine. As new and appears test-fired only. Metal surfaces retain a fine matte finish blue except for engraved areas which have been French grayed. Stock is sound with a couple very minor small handling marks retaining virtually all of its orig finish. Mechanics are crisp with bright shiny bore as gun appears test-fired only.
