SALESMAN SAMPLE HAY RAKE. Outstanding miniature horse-drawn hay rake with plaque stating “C.M. Clinton Model Maker, Ithaca, N.Y.”. Constructed of wood and brass consisting of curved tines between two large spoked side wheels. Rider sits on raised formed seat and would be able to raise and lower the tines with hand lever and working foot pedals. SIZE: 15-1/2″ l x 14″ w. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of the late John Woods, St. Louis, MO. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with great patina, some chipping to old red paint on wheels, wood shaft supporting seat has been repaired. 1-9357 (1,500-2,500)
