Automatic safety. 28″ Steel dove-tailed bbls have a narrow concave game rib and are marked “Holland & Holland.” on the right bbl, and “98 New Bond Street. London.” on the left. Bbl flats show London nitro proofs for 2-3/4″ chambers at 3-1/4 tons w/ bores of .729 and .729. SN “26508” is stamped on the bottom of bbls. The border engraved action has London proofs and SN on water table. “Safe” is inlaid in silver in front of the safety button. The back action locks are marked “H&H” and are fitted w/ Holland take down lever. There are grooves across the tumbler ends as cocking indicators. Trigger guard is border engraved, and is numbered “26508”. The slightly figured and streaked European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 15-1/4″ over leather covered pad and features a vacant silver oval, checkering at 18 LPI w/ double line border. The forend has a Deeley and Edge fastener, metal tip, and has wood and checkering to match buttstock. Bore diameter: left -.730, right -.730. Bore restrictions: left -.016, right -.010. Wall thickness: left -.029, right -.032. Drop at heel: 2-1/2″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 7 lbs 1.3oz. Leather case has initials “W.A.P.” embossed on lid. Interior has rose red cloth w/ reproduction Holland & Holland label. Accessories include a wallet containing a pull through cleaning kit, 2-pc cleaning rod w/ mops and brushes, spring type stuck case remover, horn striker block, as well as Holland & Holland marked: (2) horn handled turn screws, oil bottle, and snap caps. Consignor states the original Maker’s canvas case and trade label is available to the buyer. CONDITION: Fine as refurbished. Bbls retain 98% London quality re-black. Action and locks retain 95%+ case coloring. Trigger guard and top lever retain virtually all of their re-blue. Wood retains virtually all of its new oil finish w/ a few minor nicks. Checkering has been re-cut and is sharp. Gun is tight and on face. Ejectors are in time. Case has a few minor scuffs. Handle and straps are good.
