ENGLISH SILVER CRUET STAND, PETER AND ANNE BATEMAN, LONDON, 1796. The navette shape pierced stand with central loop handle with cylindrical shaft and plume decorated divider. Fitted with four silver mounted glass bottles. The sides with pierced scrolling band, the ends monogrammed, raised on four scrolled feet. Marked on base rim and central divider, one bottle marked “P & A Bateman, 1796.” One bottle marked “TC” (Thomas Chawner, 1789). SIZE: 9-1/2” h x 7-3/4” l.
