LARGE MAJOLICA FIGURE OF A MAN PLAYING GUITAR. 34” h figure of a man in fancy waist coat, vest, tri corner hat and white wig. He holds a large guitar in his hands and stands upon a fancy four footed naturalistic base. All in bright majolica glazes. The base impressed numbered “2011”. Unsigned. PROVENANCE: Estate of Maria M. Viveiros, New Bedford, Massachusetts. SIZE: 39” h total. CONDITION: There are repairs and restoration including the arm, hand and leg. Some age cracks, good. Under blacklight some other restorations can be seen. 9-28767 (500-1000)
