VICTORIAN POLYCHROME PAINTED AND CARVED BIRDHOUSE IN THE FORM OF A CHURCH. Of rectangular form, the pitched roof mounted with a square steeple surmounted by a tin rooster weathervane and eight midpoint secondary spires, the pediment mounted with an enamel clock face. The roof also fitted with a pair of chimneys. The church with louvered arched windows, the front classical arched doorway surmounted by a brass mask, the building on a rectangular plinth, the gallery a colonial spindled fence, the post with ball finials. All polychrome painted. SIZE: 26-3/4”h x 12-3/4”w x 15-1/2”d. CONDITION: With weathered surfaces overall, some worn and chipped paint surfaces, clock face hands needs reattaching. 9-90613 MD (800-1,200)
