*MATCHED PAIR OF J. ROBERTS SELF-COCKING HAMMER EJECTOR GAME GUNS WITH CASE. SN 45700 / 45701. Cal. 20 Ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. Teague interchangeable invisible chokes. 30″ Dovetailed steel barrels have inlaid gold line, and scroll engraving at breech ends. Tops are engraved “Roberts & Son. London. England.” Flat narrow matted game ribs have nos. “1” and “2” inlaid in gold on breech ends, for each gun, respectively. Case hardened top lever actions feature automatic tang safeties (“S” inlaid in gold), double triggers, and well filed fences and beads. Bar locks have low set short serpentine hammers. Actions are engraved with 50% coverage of well executed semi-relief open acanthus scroll with stippled background.
