*HOLLAND AND HOLLAND ROYAL BREVIS SIDE LOCK EJECTOR SINGLE TRIGGER. SN 33282. Cal. 20ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. Self opening action. Automatic safety. 28″ Steel chopper lump bbls are engraved “Holland & Holland.” on right bbl, and “98. New Bond Street, London.” on the left. Low narrow concave game rib is engraved “Royal Brevis” and has scroll engraving toward breech. Breech ends have decorative acanthus bands. Bbl flats have London nitro proofs for 2-1/2″ chambers and 7/8 oz shot. Bottoms of bbls are stamped w/ SN “33282”(1936) and have Holland patent self opening spring yoke installed. Action has dual under lugs, and 100% coverage of Holland house style shaded open work and acanthus engraving. Bottom of action is engraved w/ “Royal Self-opener”, “Patent”, “1922”. Trigger plate is engraved “Holland’s Single Trigger.” Lock plates have “Holland & Holland” in a scroll flanked riband. Single beaded small bow trigger guard has SN engraved at grip. Top tang has “Safe” inlaid in gold. Locks are fitted w/ Holland’s patent detachable system. Marbled and slightly figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-3/8″ over checkered wood butt w/ drop points, 26 LPI flat top checkering w/ mullered borders, and gold oval engraved “J.M” “1937”. Anson release splinter forend is checkered to match buttstock. Bore diameter: left -.619, right -.621. Bore restrictions: left -.012, right -.014. Wall thickness: left -.023, right -.026. Drop at heel: 2″, drop at comb: 1-1/4″. Weight: 5 lbs 7oz. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain 98% of old professional re-black w/ some staining on flats. Action is silver (faded), traces of case color in protected areas. Wood has orig finish, but is quite dry. Trigger guard and top lever have been re-blued. Bores are bright and shiny w/ no visible imperfections. Action is very slightly loose. Bbls slightly off face. Ejectors are in time. Trigger works well. Screw slots are good.
