*SPECTACULAR CASED RIZZINI MODEL S790EMEL OVER/UNDER 3-BARREL SET. Cal. 20 ga., 28 ga., 410. SN 21933. Spectacular set, apparently special built for William Larkin Moore Co., of Scottsdale, Arizona in 1990. Built on a 20 ga. frame with three sets of 27-1/2” bbls, 20 ga. choked MOD/IMP-CYL, 28 ga. choked IMP-MOD/MOD and 410 choked IMP-MOD/IMP-CYL. 20 ga. & 410 bbls have 3” chambers and 28 ga. bbls have 2-9/16” chambers. They all have narrow, flat, matted ribs, sgl beads, ejectors and sgl selective trigger. Bbls are marked “Rizzini Marcheno V.T. Italy” on left side and the importer’s name on right side. Mounted with spectacular marblecake, honey & chocolate, circassian walnut with extensively checkered, wraparound forearms and Prince of Wales rnd knob stock, 14-1/4” over a checkered butt. Receiver is equally spectacularly engraved in thistle & leaf patterns with the Rizzini crest on both sides and bottom with gold wire inlay. Thumb lever pad is pierce-filed with initials “BR” on both sides. Thumb lever & triggerguard are engraved to match the receiver. Engraving is also on forend iron. Trigger plate is signed “Creative Art Fausti”. Accompanied by its orig Nizzoli best quality, maroon felt lined, leather case, compartmented for all pieces of the gun plus three sets of snap caps, a 3-pc wood & brass cleaning rod & cleaning tools. The case has its orig padded, green canvas cover. Unable to gauge bore diameter, bore restrictions & wall thickness on 410 bbls. 28 ga. BBLS: Bore diameter: left – .550, right – .550. Bore restrictions: left – .011, right – .003. 20 ga. BBLS: Bore diameter: left – .622, right – .623. Bore restrictions: left – .010, right – .005. Wall thickness: left – .024, right – .027. Drop at heel: 1-3/4”, drop at comb: 1-1/4”. Weight with 20 ga. bbls: 6 lbs. 2.24 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain virtually all of their orig factory blue with fine jeweling on sides. Receiver retains about all of its orig factory coin finish. Wood is sound with minor nicks & scratches and retains about all of its orig factory finish. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bores.
