EARLY COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER.

EARLY COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER. Cal 45 Colt. SN 63749. Wonderful, hard used old cowboy gun with 5-1/2” bbl and very old ivory 1-pc grips. The bbl is an old replacement with slanted script address and numbered “7394”. The ejector rod and housing have been changed to a type 2 while the bbl is a type 1 with the screw hole directly into the bbl and a recess for the housing stud. CONDITION: As noted. No original finish remains. Very worn with a dark gray patina. Cylinder pin is a replacement and the screw slots are very worn. Markings are completely worn from the frame. Grips are very worn and shrunken and have a very dark yellow patina with myriad dark age lines and chipped toes. Strong bright bore. Good mechanics. 4-50272 JR361 (750-1,250)
