OUTSTANDING RECTANGULAR BOX BY J. D. SCHLEISSNER SOHNE, GERMANY. Fabulous box having a fancy hinged cover and gold wash interior. Twelve Christian Apostles molded in the round and each carrying emblems of his trade, appear on plinths, in niches around the sides of the box. A wonderful example of this companies work who started Silversmithing in 1680 and still is working. Mark on bottom of base. WEIGHT: 18 tr. oz. SIZE: 4-1/4” h x 6-1/4” l x 4-1/4” d.
