TWO LOETZ SILVER OVERLAY VASES. 1) Beautiful Loetz vase has platinum iridescent oil spot design against an iridescent dark blue background with purple highlights. The iridescent design gives way to a slightly iridescent translucent amber neck and lip. Vase is overlaid with .999 FINE silver with an orchid design on both front and back of the vase. Unsigned but silver is stamped “104 999/1000″ and carries the Alvin Silver Co. trademark. 2) Loetz cabinet vase has light blue iridescent oil spot design against a translucent green background. Vase is overlaid with sterling silver curling stems leading to leaves at the neck. Design is done on the front only and the vase is finished with a sterling silver band at the lip and the foot. Unsigned. SIZE: 5″ and 3-1/4″ t respectively. CONDITION: 1) Very good but missing 1/2” of silver trim along side flower. 2) Very good to excellent. 5-60183 (700-1,000)
