*WINCHESTER MODEL 21 SKEET GRADE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 24881. Fine Model 21 with 26” bbls choked WS1/WS2 with tapered, concave, matted rib, Bradley red ivory front bead, silver middle bead, ejectors & blued sgl selective trigger. Mounted with very beautiful, center crotch cut, flame grain, American walnut with deluxe checkered, beavertail forearm & pistol grip stock, 13-3/4” over a Winchester solid red pad. It has a German silver repoussed grip cap with an “M” engraved in center. Receiver is engraved with about 50-60% coverage, fine foliate arabesque patterns with a square & dot border with a latch hook, sunburst pattern on each end of hinge pin. Floorplate is marked “SKEET”. Bore diameter: left – .731, right – .731. Bore restrictions: left – .013, right – .007. Wall thickness: left – .035, right – .032. Drop at heel: 2-1/2”, drop at comb: 1-5/8”. Weight: 7 lbs. 8.32 oz. Accompanied by a copy of a Cody Firearms Museum letter identifying this shotgun with 28” bbls and as a “stock” gun—the implication being that it was not engraved. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls, receiver, forend iron & triggerguard retain about all of a fine restored finish. Water table is blue & inside of forend iron is jeweled. Stock has some fine chips around bottom tang with some light chipping by back edge of receiver, otherwise wood is sound and retains virtually all of its orig factory finish with only minor handling & storage marks.
