*J & W TOLLEY DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN 84693. Fine English dbl with 30″ bbls, choked MOD/IMP-CYL, having a smooth tapered concave rib with single bead and the maker’s name & address near the chamber end. It has dbl lump with ejectors and dbl triggers. The boxlock receiver is lightly engraved with fine arabesque patterns and light border designs. It is mounted in nicely figured English walnut with checkered splinter forearm and straight grip stock, 15″ over a leather covered pad. It originally had 2-1/2″ chambers, but was subsequently opened to 70 mm (2-3/4″) and reproofed. Bbl restrictions: left – .015, right – .012. Drop at the heel 2-3/8″, drop at the comb 1-5/8″. CONDITION: Very fine. Retains most of a fine professionally restored finish with the bbls retaining virtually all of a fine re-blacking and the wood about all of its oil finish. Receiver has been polished bright. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores with scattered light pitting in the left bbl and a spot or two in the right bbl. 4-53347 JR27 (1,500-2,500)
