*LEFEVER EE GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN 62061. Fine little Lefever with 26-1/8″ bbls choked MOD/CYL with tapered flat matted rib, single bead, dolls head extension with ejectors & dbl triggers. The right bbl is marked “LEFEVER ARMS CO.” and the left “SYRACUSE N.Y. U.S.A.” and “KRUP STEEL” in between. Lockplates have beautifully engraved vignettes of a pointer on the left lockplate and a setter on the right and a flying duck on the trigger bow, with cocked indicators. It has light arabesque patterns & border engraving with the maker’s name on each lockplate. It is mounted with beautiful, streaky, honey & chocolate, marbled, French walnut with splinter forearm and semi-pistol grip stock, 14-1/2″ over a red leather faced pad. The grip cap is hard rubber with dimpled edges. Bore restrictions: left – .017, right – .000. Drop at the heel 2-3/4″, drop at the comb 1-1/2″. Weight: 5 lb 12.7 oz. Accompanied by a dark brown, maroon felt lined luggage case for a larger gun. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Bbls retain about 95% strong orig blue, slightly thinned at the muzzle edges and breech end. Left lockplate retains about 95% orig case colors, faded toward the front end. Right lockplate retains about 50% faded case colors and the receiver about 30-35% in the sheltered areas with the balance turned silver. Trigger guard retains about 65% thin blue. Wood is sound showing moderate wear with light handling & use marks, a couple of minor chips back of the top tang and retains about 90% orig oil finish. Mechanics are fine, very bright shiny bores.
