*CASED WINCHESTER MODEL 21 TRAP GRADE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN 8735. Fine pre-war dbl with 26” bbls choked WS1/WS2 with tapered, concave matted rib, Bradley red ivory front bead & silver middle bead with ejectors and blued sgl selective trigger. Mounted with spectacular, flame grain & burl, B-carved American walnut with two beavertail forearms, one standard and one long trap style with pistol grip stock that has raised side panels, 14-3/8” over a Winchester solid red pad. It has a plain hard rubber grip cap. Accompanied by a red felt lined, chocolate brown leather trunk case, compartmented in bottom for the shotgun, a pair of snap caps and a square nickeled oil bottle. Bore diameter: left – .614, right – .613. Bore restrictions: left – .008, right – .002. Wall thickness: left – .030, right – .029. Drop at heel: 2-1/2”, drop at comb: 1-5/8”. Weight: 6 lbs. 15.2 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, as completely & very professionally restored, probably by the factory. All three pieces of the wood are matching & appear to be factory orig. Retains fine factory blue on all the metal with some minor very fine pitting near the muzzles, on the rib & on the floorplate. Bottom tang is mostly a gray metal color. Wood is sound and retains virtually all of their fine factory finish with minor handling & storage marks. Case is new. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bores. 4-30563 JR344 (6,000-10,000)
