SPRINGFIELD SECOND ALLEN CONVERSION WITH SLING AND BAYONET. Cal. 50. NSN. 36-1/2” rnd bbl. Springfield beveled lockplate dated 1864, “1869 / eagle head” on top of breechblock. “RJH” cartouche on left side of stock. The remains of inspector marks are at rear of bbl. CONDITION: Fine to excellent with good casehardening colors mixed with surface rust on lockplate and hammer. Most of the black finish remains on breechblock, but only traces on the attaching metal. Action is fine. Bore is bright. Single-hook brown leather sling is unmarked and has light cracks and scuffing. Bayonet is fine with scattered spots of light pitting.
