LARGE GERMAN PORCELAIN DOLL “MORNING GLORY”. Highly coveted among collectors of early china head dolls, this is an outstanding example with long swan like neck, deep pink tint, brown painted hair with well defined comb marks at temples, hair pulled back behind ears into a braided bun with painted floral decoration behind each ear. She is mounted on an antique muslin stuffed body with attached leather boots, original leather forearms and elaborately dressed in an off the shoulder two piece brocade dress with ecru lace trim at shoulders, sleeves, and edge of the inner petticoat. SIZE: 27-1/2″ (70cm). CONDITION: Excellent with typical minor paint chips to hair, but nice even facial color. 1-7925 (7,000-9,000)
