GREAT FOLK ART WALL BOX “THE DELAWARE HUNTER’S LIFE”. This three-compartment wall box all in natural finish features hand carved and applied ornamentation. It depicts, first, at the top, a hunter stalking birds in a tree. Next, his wife carrying the purse. In the final compartment, both the hunter with his dog and the wife with her cat in old age. A tag from the original collector indicates “Delaware River Life!!! He plays, she scolds and carries the purse, then grow old together, Amen”. SIZE: Approx. 20″ t.
