*GEBRUDER ADAMY SIDELOCK EJECTOR CAPE GUN WITH SCOPE AND CASE. SN 5763. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4″ Chamber. 7 X 57 R. 23-3/4″ Barrels with raised flat matted full length rib fitted with claw mount bases, single standing rear, and silver bead front sights, has crossbolt extension. Tops of bbls are engraved “Gebruder Adamy – Suhl” and “Buhag – Handwerksarbeit” (Importer for DDR). Breech ends of bbls are engraved with semi-relief shaded open scroll with vine terminations and shaded background. Bbl flats show 1985 DDR proofs. Sling loop is screwed to bottom rib. French gray, back lock action features automatic safety (“S” stamped), Greener crossbolt, side clips, raised rib tumbler end cocking indicators, strengthening bolsters, and double triggers with front rifle trigger set. Sides of action and lockplates are engraved with game scenes; deer and does left plate, and hawk attacking grouse in mountainous background on right. Bottom of action has some open scroll with shaded background. Top of action and fences are nicely engraved with semi-relief vine and leaf motifs with open shaded background. Trigger guard bow repeats this. Streaked and very nicely figured European walnut pistol grip buttstock measures 14-7/16″ over composition (Suhl) buttplate, and features traditional shadow line right hand cheekpiece, composition grip cap, and 24 LPI checkering with line border. Matching splinter forend has Schnabel tip and Deeley fastener. Bore diameter: left -.730. Bore restriction: left -.036. Wall thickness: left -.034. Drop at heel: Approx. 3″, drop at comb: Approx 1-3/4″. Weight without scope: 7 lbs. 13 oz . Weight with scope: Approx 8 lbs. 10 oz, LOP 14-7/16″. Carl Zeiss Jena rail type 4 X scope with 3 post reticle, is fitted with claw bases. Crackle-finish steel case is lined with red cloth, and contains one snap cap. PROVENANCE: Cover letter with information on U. S. importer, etc. Buhag catalog showing different models and configurations of available rifles and guns. Adamy information sheet, and original test target. CONDITION: Excellent, near new. Blued metal shows very little silvering with a couple of small spots on right side of rib. Wood has a few minor marks. Bores are excellent. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. Ejectors are in time. Set trigger works. Scope is excellent. Optics are bright and clear. Case is very fine with a few minor marks, rubs, and scratches on exterior. Some of foam-filled interior bits are separating, and foam is turning to powder. 4-40637 MGM65 (5,500-8,500)
