*FRIEDRICH WILHELM HEYM OVER UNDER COMBINATION GUN. SN 26325. Cal. 16ga/ 8x57JR. Double triggers (front trigger set). 2-1/2″ Shotgun chamber. 25-5/8″ Bbls have a flat raised matted top rib w/ claw mount bases, 1 standing, 1 folding rear sight, and longitudinally dove-tailed front, and are engraved “Sporthaus Hubertus Saarbrucken 3” and have double Kersten extensions. Bbls are stamped “Krupp – Laufstahl”, and have German nitro proofs, SN “26325”, and proof date 7/34. Box lock action has double under lugs, double Kersten top bolt, scalloped back, and is engraved “Fr. Wilh. Heym Suhl” w/ scroll engraving on bottom w/ scenes of a fox stalking a duck in marsh on left side, and a roebuck walking through woodland on right. Safety is Greener type. Figured European walnut pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/4″ over a basket weave horn butt plate, and has shadow line cheek piece, engraved steel grip cap, and 32 LPI checkering w/ double line border. Sling loop on toe line w/ another steel loop screwed in place. One piece Deeley release forend has checkering to match buttstock. Bore diameter: top -.669. Bore restrictions: top -.032. Wall thickness: top -.027. Drop at heel: 3″, drop at comb: 1-5/8″. Weight: 6 lbs 6.7oz. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain 90-95% orig blue, fading to brown. Shot gun bore is bright and shiny, w/ 2 very slight dents on left side 6″ behind muzzle. Rifle bore is strong, shiny, slightly frosted in throat, w/ some scattered light pits toward muzzle. Action retains 10% case color in protected areas, but is mostly silver to brown. Trigger guard, top lever, and grip cap retain most of their blue, flaking and thinning to silver. Stocks show most of oil finish w/ scattered nicks and dings from use. Wood is slightly under the metal at rear of action. Checkering shows some wear, especially in the left hand side of forend.
