*RARE WINCHESTER CUSTOM MODEL 21 DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 410. SN 33319. Built on a lightweight flat side action with lightning cuts in bbl flats and water table with 26” Winchester proof steel bbls choked WS1/WS2 with tapered, flat, matted, ventilated rib, Bradley red ivory front bead, ejectors & gold plated sgl selective trigger. Rib is engraved “CUSTOM BUILT BY WINCHESTER”. All the bright metal on water table, standing breech, bbl flats, breech faces & ejectors are beautifully jeweled. Mounted with extremely beautiful, center crotch cut, flame grain, American walnut with orig, checkered, black insert, beavertail forearm and straight hand buttstock, 14-1/2” over a checkered butt. Serial number is not stamped in the trigger guard tang channel, although there are pencil numbers that are indistinguishable. However, the fit & style are certainly Winchester. Receiver is very nicely engraved with two woodcock in a field scene with shaded clouds overhead on left side and two ruffed grouse on right side with two setters on floorplate, surrounded by very well executed, foliate arabesque patterns. Unable to gauge bore diameter, bore restrictions & wall thickness. Drop at heel: 2-1/4”, drop at comb: 1-9/16”. Weight: 7 lbs. 5.76 oz. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain about all of a fine restored blue finish and receiver most of its beautiful custom blue finish. Wood is sound with a very red custom finish having minor nicks & scratches.
