*FINE FRANZ SODIA BLITZ ACTION DRILLING WITH SCOPE. SN 20143. Cal. 7 x 65R x 16 x 16. 25-3/4″ Barrels are engraved “Franz Sodia Ferlach” on unmatted portion of matted flat top rib, between claw mounts. Mounts have been professionally installed after manufacture. Rear sight pops up when rifle mode is engaged, and is mounted in front of front claw. Gold bead front sight is longitudinally dovetailed into slightly raised portion of rib. Bottoms of all bbls are stamped “Bohler Super Blitz”. SN and caliber are stamped on rifle bbl. Ferlach nitro proofs for 16 ga. and 70 mm chambers are on shotgun bbls. Rifle bbl has nitro proofs and proof date of 1975. Sling loop is soldered to bottom of rifle bbl. Coin finished Blitz action with double triggers (front trigger set for rifle use) has Greener side safety, reinforcing bolsters, side clips, cross bolt third fastener, bushed strikers, ornamental side panels, and rifle selector button on tang. Trigger plate is engraved “Franz Sodia Ferlach”. Action and lockplates are engraved with semi-relief game scene with scroll accents. Right lockplate depicts a trio of flushing pheasants in open woodlands. Left lockplate depicts a trio of roebuck running through deeper woods. Floorplate depicts a charging boar. Trigger guard and grip cap are of horn. Nicely stump figured and well marbled European walnut pistol grip buttstock measures 14-3/8″ over red basket weave “Pachmayr” pad. Stock has sling loop on toe line, shadow line right hand cheekpiece, and approx. 24 LPI point pattern checkering with line border. Matching splinter forend has Deeley release, and SN on iron. Bore diameter: left -.670, right -.672. Bore restrictions: left -.025, right -.013. Wall thickness: left -.031, right -.028. Drop at heel: Approx 2-7/8″, drop at comb: Approx 1-1/2″. Weight: 7 lbs. 4 oz, without scope. LOP 14-3/8″. Scope is a Swarvski Habicht 4 X with three post reticle with windage adjustment, and it is soldered on claw mounts. CONDITION: Excellent, near new. Barrels have been professionally reblacked,likely after mount installation. There are one or two spots of light pitting on right side of bbl. Action retains virtually all of its coin finish. Horn trigger guard and grip cap are excellent. Wood retains all of its original oil finish with a few minor marks, and is dry. Action is tight. Bbls are on face. Bores are excellent. Scope has some light pinprick pitting on top of tube. Optics are clear. 4-39474 (4,500-7,500)
