COLT POCKET MODEL NAVY PERCUSSION REVOLVER. Cal. 36. SN 5428. Blue & case colored with 6-1/2″ oct bbl, brass cone front sight, 5-shot rebated cylinder with stagecoach holdup scene. It has brass grip frame with 1-pc. walnut grips. It also has “Colt’s Patent” on the left side of the frame and caliber marking on the left side of the trigger guard. CONDITION: Extremely fine, all matching except the rammer handle which is unnumbered. The bbl retains 93-95% glossy bright original blue with scattered spots of light surface etching and fine pitting. There are light hammer marks by the wedge slot. The rammer and handle retain traces of case colors being mostly a silver/gray patina. The handle seems to be slightly bent as it is difficult to latch. The frame retains most of its bright original case colors turning dark on the recoil shield. The cylinder retains 50-60% thin original blue and 95-96% stagecoach holdup scene. The hammer retains about 60% bright case colors. The back strap & trigger guard are a medium unpolished patina. The grips show very light wear with a small scratch or two and retain virtually all of their original varnish. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore with a few spots of scattered light pitting. 4-53568 JR888 (3,500-5,000)
