*SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER MODEL 21 DBL BARREL SHOTGUN 2-BARREL SET. Cal. 12 ga. SN 12000. Fine Model 21 with 2 sets of 28″ bbls, one choked FUL/MOD with 3″ chambers and the other choked MOD/IMP-CYL. Both have tapered concaved matted ribs with Bradley Red Ivory front beads and silver middle beads, ejectors and a blued Winchester single selective trigger. The receiver is without decoration. It is mounted with extraordinarily figured feather crotch cut sunburst American walnut with tremendous color on the fleur de lis carved 21-B pattern beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock 14″ over a checkered butt. It is accompanied by a Cody Firearm Museum letter fully identifying this shotgun with both sets of bbls and “wood sent in by customer”. Also accompanied by a fine oak and leather, rose colored, suede lined, trunk case compartmented for all four pieces of the shotgun, two snap caps and four covered compartments. It has its orig canvas and leather cover. Drop at heel: 2-1/4″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Bore restrictions bbl #1: left – .031, right – .010. Wall thickness bbl #1: left – .030, right – .033. Bore diameter bbl #1: left – .701, right – .722. Bore restrictions bbl #2: left – .009, right – .006. Wall thickness bbl #2: left – .033, right – .033. Bore diameter bbl #2: left – .723, right – .729. Weight: 7 lb 4.48 oz CONDITION: Very fine plus. Shotgun retains all of a spectacular professionally restored finish. Bbls and receiver blue appears to be factory or by someone who has the factory formula. Forearm has a crack through the bottom screw almost all the way across (easily repaired by a competent stock maker). Otherwise the wood is sound with no discernable flaws.
