*LUDWIG BOROVNIK OVER AND UNDER COMBO IMPORTED BY FLAIG’S WITH SCOPE. SN 401218. Cal. 16 ga x .222. Double triggers (front set). Automatic safety. 25-3/4″ bbls marked “Made in Austria” on solid matted rib w/ gold line folding rear sight and longitudinally dove-tailed gold bead front and Redfield scope mount screwed to rib. Sling eye is soldered to bottom bbl. Bbls marked “Bohler Blitz Stahl”, “16/70” w/ Ferlach proofs on the top “Bohler. Spezial.Stahl” “Lud. Borovnik Ferlach” “222” and SN “40.1218” and Ferlach nitro proofs for 1959 on bottom. Coin finished action has double under lugs, double Kirsten bolt, bushed strikers, automatic safety, and scalloped back. It is nicely engraved w/ pair of flushing ducks on bottom, setter pointing pheasants on left, and fox stalking partridge on right; offset by stylized scroll on bottom, and semi relief scroll on bolsters. Nicely figured and contrasting European walnut stock measures 14″ over checkered horn butt plate and features pancake cheek piece for right hand shooter, hard rubber grip cap, sling swivel and checkering at 24 LPI w/ mullered border. Trigger guard has scroll engraving and a picture of the lodge and “Flaig’s” in an oval. Top tang has gold “S” in front of safety button. One piece splinter forend has Deeley fastener and checkering to match buttstock. Scope is a Dural “Supra” variable 2-1/2-6 X, w/standard cross hairs, SN 161994 and marked Made in Germany” and has leather covers, integral mounting dove-tails, and modified Redfield bases installed. Bore diameter: top -.664. Bore restrictions: top -.022. Wall thickness: top -.029. Weight: 7 lbs 12.8oz. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain 95%+ orig blue. Shot gun bore is excellent. Rifle bbl is bright and shiny w/ minor pitting at breech. Action has most of its coin finish darkening slightly. Action is tight and on face. Trigger guard and top lever silvering at edges. Stock is loose through action area, has repaired crack at lower left, but retains most of its oil finish. Checkering is slightly worn and dirty. 3/4″ x 1/8″ Gouge in right side. Forend is fine.
