*CUSTOM ENGRAVED WINCHESTER MODEL 21 SKEET GRADE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN 15076. Beautiful Model 21 with 26” bbls, choked WS1/WS2 with tapered, concave, matted rib, Bradley red ivory front bead & silver middle bead with ejectors and gold plated, sgl selective trigger. Mounted with extremely beautiful, flame grain, center crotch cut, “B” carved American walnut with beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock, 14” over a checkered butt. Receiver, appended metal & about 3-1/2” over chambers of bbl are wonderfully engraved, probably by Gino Cargnell, consisting of two raised gold setters and two raised gold flying pheasants on left side, two raised gold flying mallards & two standing raised gold mallards on right side and the unusual vignette of a raised gold spaniel with face-on view, on the bottom, one of the most difficult animal scenes to effectively accomplish. All vignettes are surrounded by gold wire inlay with gold leaves around two large vignettes on sides. There is additional gold wire inlays around hinge pin and engraving on bbls. Bbl flats, lug, ejectors, water table & standing breech are beautifully jeweled. Bore diameter: left – .621, right – .616. Bore restrictions: left – .006, right – .002. Wall thickness: left – .024, right – .026. Drop at heel: 2-3/8”, drop at comb: 1-9/16”. Weight: 6 lbs. 9.92 oz. Accompanied by a green felt lined, tan leather trunk case, compartmented for shotgun, a 2-pc brass & wood cleaning rod and a covered compartment containing two snap caps. Also accompanied by an orig small Model 21 catalog with a Grand American on the cover. CONDITION: Very fine. Overall retains virtually all of its beautiful custom finish to both metal & wood with minor storage & handling marks on buttstock and a grain check on left side near the heel.
