*SPECTACULAR WINCHESTER MODEL 21 CUSTOM GRADE DBL BBL SHOTGUN 2-BBL SET. Cal. 12 ga. SN W32865. Wonderful set with 28″ bbls choked FULL/MOD & 26″ bbls choked WS1/WS2. Both bbls have forearms, ventilated ribs with dbl ivory beads & ejectors with receiver having gold plated sgl selective trigger. Both ribs are marked “CUSTOM BUILT BY WINCHESTER FOR ARTHUR A. CARVALHO”. Flat side rnd receiver is engraved in ’21-1′ style with an extra flourish on each side. Trigger guard is engraved with initials “AAC”. Water table, standing breech, bbl faces, ejectors, bbl flats, lugs & inside forend iron are all beautifully jeweled. Mounted in highly figured, flame grain, American walnut with field style deluxe grade checkered beavertail forearms & deluxe grade checkered pistol grip stock, 14″ over a rnd edge leather covered pad. Accompanied by a manila collection tag identifying this shotgun with the notation “PURCHASED BOURNE-11/82″ (Richard Bourne Auction Company, Falmouth, MA). Also accompanied by a brown leatherette covered trunk case. Also accompanied by a Cody Firearms Museum letter identifying this shotgun as found having completed inspection on May 9, 1972. Drop at heel: 2-11/16″, drop at comb: 1-7/16”. Bore restrictions: 26″ bbls: left – .010, right – .007; 28″ bbls: left – .036, right – .017. Wall thickness: 26″ bbls: left – .020, right – .025; 28″ bbls: left – .036, right – .035. Bore diameter: 26″ bbls: left – .725, right – .727; 28″ bbls: left – .697, right – .717. Weight w/26″ bbls: 7 lbs. 8.64 oz. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine. Near new, may be unfired with only minor ejector scrapes on standing breech. Bbls & receiver retain virtually all of their orig factory blue. Wood is sound & retains about all of its orig factory finish with two or three very minor nicks on stock and a tiny flaw & a scrape on one of forearms. Crisp mechanics, brilliant shiny bores.
