*KREIGHOFF NEPTUNE PRIMUS DURAL DRILLING. SN 67423. Cal. 12 Ga. x 12 Ga. x 7 x 57R. 25″ Mono-block barrels with raised flat matted full length rib have crossbolt extension and single pop-up leaf rear sight. Sourdough front bead is longitudinally dovetailed into end of rib. Mono-block is stamped with German proofs with proof date of 8/67. “Kreighoff Ulm” is on left side of rear lump. Bottoms of bbls are stamped with proofs and “Bohler * Antinit”. Bottom of rifle bbl is stamped with SN. Sling loop is soldered to bottom bbl. Breech ends of bbls have decorative bands and inlaid gold lines. Dural alloy action features non-automatic safety with button to left of top lever, and Kreighoff patent cocking slide is on tang. Trigger plate /sidelock action also features detachable locks, gold-plated internals, bushed strikers, gold-plated double triggers (front trigger set) and bolsters. Action and lockplates are engraved with semi-relief shaded open scroll framing vignettes of game on lockplates; left side depicting roaring stag strolling through woodland following 3 hinds; right depicts group of roebuck, 3 does followed by buck. Lockplates take down with hidden latch pin. Trigger guard is made of horn. Nicely marbled and slightly figured European walnut pistol grip buttstock, measures 14″ over ribbed composition buttplate, and features European comb, shadow line right hand cheekpiece, black composition grip cap, and skip line checkering with line border. There is a sling loop on toe line. Matching splinter forend has Deeley type release. Bore diameter: left -.720, right -.722. Bore restrictions: left -.029, right -.028. Wall thickness: left -.032, right -.032. Drop at heel: 2-3/4″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs. 10 oz, LOP 14″. PROVENANCE: Factory hang tag with instructions, and target showing 3 shots within a half inch at 80 meters. CONDITION: Essentially new. Appears to be proof and test fired only, and has only the faintest marks in stock from handling, over the years.
