*WINCHESTER DELUXE MODEL 71 RIFLE. Cal 348. SN 37451. Fine deluxe rifle, 2nd type with short tang, 24” rnd bbl with ramp front sight and a slot blank in the rear dovetail and 2/3 magazine. Does not appear to have ever had a sight. Receiver is mounted with a Lyman 56A peep sight. Checkered beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. Forend cap and buttstock are mounted with deluxe sling swivels. CONDITION: Bbl, magazine tube and foreend cap retain 96-98% strong bright original blue. Receiver retains about 90% original blue, thin in spots with scattered spots of light pitting. Forearm has a small crack on the right side. Otherwise the wood is sound and retains 93-95% original varnish. Brilliant shiny bore. 4-50472 JR396 (750-1,250)
