*CASED WINCHESTER MODEL 21 GRAND AMERICAN 2-BBL SET. Cal. 20 ga. & 410. SN W38111. Beautiful small frame Connecticut Shotgun Mfg. Co. 21 with lightning cuts in water table & two sets of 28” bbls, both choked WS1/WS2. Both have raised, flat, matted, ventilated ribs with red ivory Bradley beads, ejectors & sgl selective trigger. Mounted with spectacular center, feather, crotch cut, American walnut with B-carved black insert beavertail forearms & straight stock, 14-1/4” over a checkered butt. Receiver is beautifully engraved in 21-6 style with gold setter on left side, gold pointer on right side, two gold pheasants on bottom & a gold dog’s head on triggerguard, all surrounded by foliate arabesque patterns with relief carved oak leaf & acorn patterns on fences. It has a gold trigger with gold arrows and gold “L” & “R” on sides. Accompanied by its orig Connecticut Shotgun Mfg. Co., maroon felt lined, trunk case compartmented for stocked receiver, both bbls, two ebony & brass cleaning rods (one for each gauge), a set of snap caps for each gauge & a nickeled oil bottle. It has Winchester label in lid. Unable to gauge bore diameter, bore restriction or wall thickness on 410 bbls. 20 ga. bbls: Bore restrictions: left – .007, right – .002. Wall thickness: left – .029, right – .035. Bore diameter: left – .613, right – .613. Drop at heel: 2-1/4”, drop at comb: 1-3/8”. Weight with 20 ga. bbls: 6 lbs. 11.84 oz. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, new & unfired. Retains all of its orig factory finish to both metal & wood with one or two tiny storage & handling marks on stock.
