*BEST QUALITY WESTLEY RICHARDS DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 ga. SN 19586. Outstanding little dbl with 26″ bbls choked FULL/IMP-MOD with narrow tapered serrated rib, one silver bead, ejectors and dbl triggers. It has a full sidelock receiver with cocked indicators and the maker’s name in gold on each lockplate. “SAFE” is in gold on the top tang and the trigger guard is right handed. The bbls have the maker’s name & address. It is mounted with very highly figured English walnut with scattered burls having flat checkering with semi-beavertail forearm and semi-pistol grip stock, teardrop side panels, 14-3/4″ over a checkered butt. The grip cap is engraved hard rubber and it has a gold initial plate on the bottom of the stock. The receiver and lockplates have full coverage wonderfully executed foliate arabesque pattern engraving with a fine fish hook border. The trigger guard and long bottom tang are engraved to match. The receiver has scalloped fences with matching engraving, which extends over the top of the receiver, opening lever and top tang. Accompanied by its orig tan leather luggage case with red felt lining that contains “Westley Richards” marked, nickeled snap caps & oil bottle with a 2-pc ebony & brass wiping rod and tools. Bore restrictions: left – .028, right – .023. Drop at the heel 2-1/8″, drop at the comb 1-1/8″.Weight: 5 lb 15.1 oz. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine. Appears to be unfired retaining virtually all of its brilliant orig factory finish to both metal & wood.
