*VERY LATE WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 TAKE DOWN RIFLE. Cal. 33 WCF. SN 158649. One of the last 1,000 ‘86’s produced. It is the lightweight model with 24” tapered rnd bbl, pedestal front sight, a blank in the rear seat and a Redfield receiver sight. It has half magazine, uncheckered wood, straight stock & hard rubber buttplate. It has a compass in the comb at the heel. CONDITION: As noted, about very good. Bbl & magazine tube retain about 95% original blue. Receiver 30-40% flaked blue with the balance a light patina. Wood is sound and retains most of an old refinish, bright shiny bore. 4-51951 JR1166 (750-1,250)
