OUTSTANDING AND RARE STERLING TOMATO VINE LADLE BY TIFFANY & COMPANY. Signed on back “Tiffany & Co., Sterling M”. Kidney shaped bowl with a flared rim has shaped handle with high relief tomato vine with large tomatoes against a stippled background. The vine and leaves wrap around to the back of the handle and there is a script three letter monogram. This ladle is considered to be among the most spectacular of Tiffany’s flatware pieces. It comes with its original pink silk lined black box which is marked “Tiffany & Co., New York” and “Ave. Del’Opera 36 Bis Paris”. Accompanying the ladle is the book Tiffany Silver by Charles Carpenter Jr. which has the ladle photographed in color on the back removable cover. SIZE: 12-1/2” l x 4-1/2” w.
