*KRIEGHOFF CLASSIC BIG FIVE DOUBLE RIFLE. SN 96934. Cal..470 Nitro express. 23-5/8″ Shoe lump barrels with engine turned quarter rib mounted with one standing, two folding leaf express sight, and silver bead front with flip-up “moon sight” in plain base, are stamped with instruction, warning on top left bbl. Bbl flats are stamped “470 N.E.”, bottoms of lumps with “Krieghoff Ulm”, proofs, and “470”. Bottom of left bbl is stamped with SN. Sling eye is screwed into bottom rib. Coin finished action with Krieghoff patented cocking/ safety slide is stamped “Krieghoff Classic” and “Germany” on bottom, and has about 40% coverage of scroll with line border engraving. Trigger guard, top lever, and cocking slide are matte blued. Front trigger is hinged. Lightly streaked and figured full pistol grip European walnut buttstock measures 14-5/8″ over thin black “Decelerator” pad, and features shadow line right hand cheek piece, 18 LPI point pattern checkering with line border, and sling eye on toe line. Matching semi-beavertail forend with Schnabel tip has Deeley release. Drop at heel: Approx 1-3/4″, drop at comb: Approx 1-1/2″. Weight: 10 lbs. 10 oz, LOP 14-5/8″. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain nearly all of their original finish with some discoloration at muzzles, and a few areas of cleaned rust mostly on top center of right bbl. Action retains essentially all of it coin finish. Cocking slide is slightly silvered. There are a few minor marks on buttstock. Action is tight. Bbls are on face.
