UNSIGNED (American School, 19th Century) PORTRAIT OF A GIRL. Oil on canvas laid on masonite 3/4 portrait shows a standing girl wearing a fancy red dress with a sprig of blue flowers at top of dress. She holds a book with her left hand having styled blonde hair. She stands in front of a landscape with blue and white cloud sky and green trees. Painting is in oval form but squared framing. Housed in an antique gilt molded wood frame. PROVENANCE: Fine private Long Island, New York mansion. SIZE: 30” x 24-1/2”. CONDITION: Very good.
