*CASED HEYM DRILLING. SN 2250. Cal. 16X16X8x72R. 26-3/8″ Krupp steel bbls, fine bead front sight, flip-up rear blade, claw mount bases, under barrel sling swivel mount. Shotgun bbls with 2-1/2″ chambers, FULL/ FULL choke, right shotgun bbl is marked “J.B.BRAUN” left “KOBLENZ A/RH.” Bottom of shotgun bbls marked “KRUPP-LAUFSTAHL” Numerous proof marks “16 & Nitro”, rifle bbl is marked with a series of proof marks “7.8mm/72”. Receiver is engraved with flowing floral scroll with shaded background, a leaping deer & fox in a wooded scene on left side of receiver. Pointing dog & dead rabbit on right side, stagg and hine in a forested scene and “System-Heym/60215/D.R.Patent” on bottom. Trigger guard is engraved with floral scroll and 2 bores rushing straight ahead. Right side of trigger plate is marked “D.R.G.M./66514”. Top of receiver has 3 cocking indicators & “SICHER” in gold for safe. Mounted with nicely figured walnut, fine checkered pistol grip, horn grip cap, left side cheek piece, floral engraved buttplate with trap door. Initial shield and sling swivel stud in toe line, fully checkered schnabel tipped forend. Housed in a dark leather luggage case with blue lining. PROVENANCE: The Wm J. (Bill) Maier Estate Collection. CONDITION: Fine. Bbls retain 92-95% blue with a few minor light handling marks and slight muzzle wear. Receiver has a smooth even gray finish, blue trigger guard and blue top lever. Stock is sound with fine checkering, a few handling marks and retains most of a fine hand rubbed finish. Buttplate is a smooth gray color. Forend is solid with good checkering with hand worn patina finish. Mechanics are crisp with non-auto safety and shiny bores in all three bbls. Case has rubs and scrapes and some minor discoloration to leather and wear to the lining of the inside. Included with this lot is a set of RCBS dies and 4 boxes of brass for rifle. 4-36232 BDT164 (3,000-5,000)
