OUTSTANDING BOUELLE AND ORMOLU DECORATED DESK STAND. Large ink stand has grooves to hold two square inkwells. A large decorative handle in the center separates them. Two curved pen trays, one on each side, complete the top. A front serpentine drawer has no latch but pulls from underneath. The serpentine side box has large brass/ormolu corner feet with scrolls an leaf decoration. Brass bound top and all over brass inlay on a simulated tortoise shell background. Inlays incorporate classical motifs including scroll, faces, leaves, squirrels and birds. SIZE: 8” h (including handle) x 19” w x 16” d. CONDITION: Very good.
